Installed in a commercial auditorium (7500 sq ft). It has no problem filling with sound even with 300 people having a party. Our speakers are modest and somewhat small mounted high on the walls (they will handle up to 150 watts each). The Onkyo replaced a receiver that often would thermal shut-down at high volumes. It's mounted in a rack with several other components including video feeding via HDMI a large commercial projector with a 16 x 9 foot screen. The old receiver HDMI output intermittently would shut down. The Onkyo has been flawless. And since it upconverts old analog video to digital on HDMI we can show anything on our digital input projector. We take all the audio directly off the HDMI inputs (all audio formats seem to work perfectly).
